At Growing Stars, early intervention programmes are available from 12 months of age. For children identified at birth with a known condition such as Down syndrome or following NICU admission, we can begin developmental monitoring and parent coaching even earlier. The sooner support begins, the better the outcomes.

Yes. A formal diagnosis is not required to begin early intervention. If you have concerns about your child's development — even if a cause has not been identified — early intervention based on the child's current developmental profile is appropriate and beneficial. Waiting for a diagnosis means losing precious developmental time.

This depends on the child's age, the severity of the delay, and the domains affected. Research supports higher intensity for greater gains, with 15–25 hours per week recommended for children with significant delays. We offer flexible intensity levels and always factor in family capacity and the child's tolerance when designing programmes.

Early intervention is specifically designed for children under 5, uses a multidisciplinary and family-centred model, and takes advantage of the heightened neuroplasticity of the early years.
